The numbers matching 350 engine runs excellent and has a throaty sound to it while going down the road. Paired with a Turbo Hyra-Matic Automatic Transmission this Corvette is enjoyable to drive and with factory options such as Power Steering Power Brakes Tilt Wheel and Factory Air Conditioning (not working) youll find yourself WANTING to take this car for a cruise. Around the Ontario Orange exterior (Code 987) youll find nearly all original factory lacquer paint and the factory bonding stripes on both quarter panels as well as front fenders and around where the rear deck meets the back of the bumper. Being the last year for front and rear chrome bumpers youll be pleased to know that both still have a great shine to them and the egg-crake grill side fender grills and more all show excellent. The removable rear window and painted T-tops all show excellent as well! Throughout the Saddle Tan vinyl interior youll find that all the gauges are in working order including the tach and clock! The stereo system works well although I am not sure why you would want to listen to it when you can listen to the rumble from the engine! Being a 2006 NCRS Top Flight Award recipient this car was gone over inch by inch and when it came to scoring this Corvette received a 4411 out of 4510 meaning it got a net score of 98! Youll find the original judging sheets that go with the car in addition to the Bloomington Gold Survivor Certificate of Historic Preservation which the car received in 1997. Also while it is hard to see in the photo the original tank sheet is still attached to the gas tank which is rarely seen. Included with the sale of this car are both awards as well as a stack of receipts from repairs made through the years as well as almost all of the manuals including 72 Corvette Owners Manual Consumer Information Brochure Wheel Trim Ring Instruction Sheet Engine Starting Instruction Card Front and Rear License Plate Attachment Parts as well as the Emission Control Systems pamphlet! Again this car presents itself extremely well for having mostly all original paint it is my opinion that any serious Corvette collector would be impressed with how this car shows and when you get in the interior and take it for a ride you can tell that this is a real/deal car!
