Major Options / Build:

Additional Description: Iconic looks meet with tons of recent investment and serious V8 power to deliver an exceptionally distinct and speedy 1966 Shelby Cobra. Everett-Morrison is an OEM manufacturer, which means they know how to build a quality body and chassis. That's why this one makes an impressive first impression. The classic curves of the Cobra body are crisp; the fenders have an aggressive flair; and the doors, hood, and trunk have an excellent fit. It all looks great wrapped in a glossy red with full-length white racing stripes. This gets all the vintage Cobra details right, like the hood scoop, roll hoop, racing gas cap, and even new Halibrand wheels with knock-off hubs. But as you look at the front end, those modern headlights with selectable LED halos tell you someone made an extra investment in this car. The tan color has the look of a luxury machine. Plus, the plush carpeting, well-bolstered seats, AM/FM/CD stereo w/iPod hookup make this a comfortable Cobra. Air conditioning can be right around the corner for the new owner since the components are in place, but it needs to be routed to the interior. Even with these amenities, this never loses the race-ready Cobra attitudes. You get five-point racing harnesses, a wood and chrome steering wheel, and a dashboard full of flip cover toggle switches and Stewart Warner gauges. If you like the look of the tan inside, then you'll be pleased with the color of the full convertible top and side curtains. And when you want to keep the whole car secure from the weather, there's custom storm-proof car cover that comes with the sale. You'll proudly lift the hood on this Cobra where you park it. The polished components, tidy setup, and well-matched ribbed valve covers and air topper are a great way to showcase this V8. While this is show-ready, what you really love about a Cobra is the power. This is a 347 cubic-inch stroker motor, and the low mileage on the car represents how little it has gone since it was completely rebuilt in 2017 by Carolina Rod Shop. It has been enhanced and fortified with a Street Demon 625 CFM polymer four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, Lunati Thumper cams, new MSD Ignition, new aluminum radiator, and more. Plus, it exhales with thunderous authority as custom headers from Carolina Rod Shop feed side pipes from Shell Valley. To keep this strong and precise, there is a new four-speed AOD automatic built by Action Automotive it was installed in 2018 and includes a 3 year, 100k mile warranty. This feeds a strong Ford 9-inch rear that was rebuilt in 2017. More investments include new power steering rack and bushings up front. In that rear is a strong tubular trailing arm setup with new QA1 adjustable coilovers. Plus, there are Wilwood drilled and slotted disc brakes behind each wheel. There are plenty more investments in this build, so call us for all the details. But you already know this one has the looks and investments to be the one you've been waiting for. Call now!

Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1966 Shelby COBRA recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1966 Shelby COBRA problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.
