Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1962 Ford F-100 recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: A truck this interesting and so complete is rarely this affordable. After all, we all love the cool classic look, and this 1962 Ford F-100 is from those few short/cool years that there was the unibody option. So with a truck so distinct, it's great to see a solid investment everywhere, right down to the undercarriage. Ford's brief flirtation with a seamless unibody option on the F-series already makes a pickup like this sought after and hard to find. The unibody just does a great job of featuring the full-length style lines that were stamped directly in the sheetmetal. Ford also added some dramatic flares around the wheel arches, making this one of the best-looking trucks of the early 1960s. So it's great to see such a cool-looking vintage truck looking both period-correct and well-invested. The factory-correct Baffin Blue seems to represents the 1960s perfectly. It not only looks good on the body, but the color-matched steelies are a nice touch, too. The details are right with the white bumper, grille, and F-O-R-D on the tailgate complementing the light blue paint quite nicely. And everything from the clean latches on the tailgate to the black paint in the bed tell you they really wanted this one to be both impressive and useful. The blue with a hint of white continue inside on the doors and dash. Plus, the bright blue bench seat has a fresh look, but a correct feel. So it just reminds you that they made solid investments everywhere in the truck but never lost the period-correct feeling. That's why the AM radio is still there for display, and the heat and defrost are working for those early morning Cars and Coffee runs. And while you have the factory speedometer, they are flanked by new gauges that signal this truck is made for driving. Under the hood is Ford's premium 292 cubic-inch Y-block motor. It's has a tidy presentation where people can easily spot the classic pieces, like the bold red valve covers and Holley dual-barrel carb. You also instantly can recognize upgrades that make this a stronger total package. Items like an aluminum radiator, electric fuel pump, and headers give this more power, a sweeter soundtrack, and a more robust operation. Plus, the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission gives you the full control to keep up with traffic. The clean/fresh suspension gives this a confident feeling on the road, and modern tires deliver better grip. So while this drives like a true vintage machine, you also can feel it was done to be enjoyed. This is the cool classic pickup that's done to impress from every angle. Don't let this rare unibody truck slip away. Call now!
