Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1970 Dodge CHALLENGER recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1970 Dodge CHALLENGER problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: Here we have a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. This car has had a gorgeous Photo Documented Rotisserie Restoration. It features the Matching Numbers Driveline with a 383 Four Speed, and it's done in the factory color combination. As you can see the body on it is one of the best you will ever see. All the panel fit is near perfect with all the gaps being even and symmetrical and some of the best body lines I've seen on a Challenger. Being covered in the factory color scheme is not always a treat, but the layout on this '70 is stunning and is sure to have everyone falling in love at the show. This is a factory V02 Two Tone car that's done in the Bright Red with the White top. It's also a factory White Bumble Bee Stripe and Black Performance Hood Treatment car. All the paint has been meticulously buffed and polished to a gorgeous shine that's slick as a ribbon. You can also see that every piece of Chrome and Stainless on it is a nice as it would have been when brand new. The grill is also in excellent condition along with all the glass. To finish off the exterior look and give it that timeless old school look it's sitting on a set of 15" Rallyes with Goodyear G60 15 Tires. Next, we will look at the interior of this Challenger. On the inside it's also done in the factory Red which is a gorgeous complement to the exterior color scheme. It has the bucket seats and console which house the Pistol Grip Four Speed Shifter. Looking at the dash you can see it has the Rallye Gauges and in dash Tach. The gauges have the wood grain accent that flows perfectly with the Wood Grain Wheel and accents in the console and door panels. You'll also notice that all of the body panels are in excellent condition along with the seat covers, carpet, and headliner. This R/T has the factory seat belts and it also has a Working Factory AM Radio and 8 Track Player! In the trunk everything has a beautiful detail and appears rock solid. It has the space saver spare, trunk mat, and jack. Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Dodge. Under the hood everything is stunning as it looks like it would have when new off the show room floor. It features the Matching Number 383 engine that's mated to the Matching Numbers Four Speed Trans and 8 ¾" "489" Rear End with 3.23 Gears. The engine is set up with the Correct Intake and a Holley Carb. For exhaust it has Manifolds with dual pipes and the stock style muffler and resonators with the Dual Chrome Tips. The 383 is dressed with the stock style valve covers and air cleaner with the 383 Magnum Call Out. You can also see it has the fender tag and we have verified the cowl and radiator support numbers are correct. When you look under it you can see that they did an excellent job on the Rotisserie restoration with the body being detailed in Red. Under the front it has had new bushings installed for the Sway Bar and End Links along with the control arms. The ball joints also appear to have been replaced along with the rear leaf spring bushings. This is a quality restoration from top to bottom that you will be proud to show or cruise!
